Now, for full disclosure, I don't believe that would work, and I'm almost positive that murdering yourself is bound to have more ramifications than living in the same reality as him... But I actually do wonder if that would work. I mean, if you did it very carefully, and made sure nobody saw you...

We are still carrying on at home. As far as your world is concerned, you're still doing whatever it is you're meant to do. I know this because at one point, I absorbed memories from a version of myself further along the timeline.
